DAY, SUNSET AND NIGHT TOURS

Through reservations, small and large groups can take our nature tours, starting in Faro, on board our comfortable and exciting creature; you will be introduced to the marvellous landscape painted with hundreds of birds and plants who dwell in the Ria Formosa.
The tours can go on from Faro to Ilha de Culatra, Ilha de Faro, culminating in a relaxing visit to the Ilha Deserta, an uninhabited paradise, with beach activities, nautical sports, catering and a walking trail to observe the unique fauna and flora, returning to Faro or disembarking in Olhão.

INLAND WATER - CALM TRIP

The visit is made in the inland waters of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, no shaking or waving sea during most of the year. Our natural park is surrounded by barrier island that protect the area against the movement of the ocean. Trips take 35 minute to arrive at Deserta Island. WHAT DOES "PRAIA DAS CONCHAS" MEANS?

The catamaran was built in 1999, "Praia das Conchas" means “Shell’s Beach” as it is called the beach in front of the Estamine Restaurant, which is always full of beautiful shells. As for the technical equipment on board for guided tour, we can offer our customers a sound system covering the entire boat, wireless microphone and, on prior arrangement, special equipment for presentations.

STABLE AND SECURE

The "Praia das Conchas" is a very stable and secure catamaran. It has capacity for 96 passengers, 03 crew. Inside covered deck: 36 passengers. Outside covered deck: 60 passengers. With two bathrooms. It has all the means of salvation and required navigation (compass, VHF / DSC, Radar, Sonar, GPS, life jackets, pneumatic rafts, pyrotechnics). Under RNAAT license number 133/2009, has all the necessary insurance and conditions required by law.

The catamaran has a crew of two people: the captain and the nature guide to show you the best of what the amazing Ria Formosa has to offer. With a bathroom and all of the necessary safety equipment complying with international coast guard regulations. Our company offer twice a day itinerary with departures every day.

FARO - DESERTA ISLAND: 15 MINUTES

Ever wondered what it would be like to have a high powered Rigid Inflatable Boat with an experienced skipper to take you anywhere along the Ria Formosa Natural Park? You can depart from Faro and arrive at Desert Island in just 15 minutes. This speed boat ride is suitable for all the family and is a great experience if it’s your first time onboard a powerboat. Once on board you will experience the thrill of High Speed Power Boating.

PRIVATE TOUR

Our speedboat can also be hired privately for special events and occasions or for group bookings. Our speedboat is ideal for unique corporate events, small groups, student groups, hen and stag parties and anyone looking for something different. Ideal for those interested in our feathered friends! Suitable for beginners through to experts, all you need is your own binoculars. Lasting from 1 to 3 hours, these cruises include a full commentary from a nature guide throughout the cruise on the species, habitat and behaviors of the thousands of birds on the Natural Park.

YACHT FACILITIES

Close to Desert Island, your yacht may anchor and our skippers will bring you to the island safely, quickly and comfortably. And you can come back at any time. For our restaurant's customers we do this service for free. Just call (+351) 917 811 856. Suggested location to anchor your yacht: 36°58'14.79"N, 7°52'19.95"W. If want a different experience, you do not need to leave the boat. The Estaminé Restaurant can prepare an amazing lunch according to your choice, with fish, seafood, wines ... and our skippers will take it up to your boat.

Our vessels are state of the art RIBs with quiet but powerful 150hp engines capable of carrying up to 22 people, in comfort. Our speedboats have been designed for memorable experience with customer comfort and safety at all times. With qualified commercial skippers and knowledgeable guides on all our trips. As well as possessing all of the necessary qualifications to navigate at Sea, all of our skippers also hold a local knowledge endorsement for the Ria Formosa Natural Park.

GO BIRDWATCHING!

There is an abundance of marine wildlife to be seen such as Ospreys, Aldouin Gull, Little Egrets, Spoonbills and more than 238 different species of birds. Our daily sailings all stop off at Deserta Island where you have the option of getting off the boat and spending all day long exploring the magnificent white sand beach, full of shells, and do a hiking to the Cape St. Mary, the southernmost point of Portugal, before boarding the boat again and returning to Faro.
